My mode button when pressed light up for 1 second and then turns off(doest blink)
Also when turned on my Record* button (light) is lit and doesnt come off.
This is a brand new machine. just cant figure out whats the problem...

im not really the best person to be answering this but sometimes mpc's (brand new ones) can be **** up out the box. i read on here someone bought a brand new one and 2 of the pads weren't working. i would just take it or send it back and get another. i hope this helped a little. hang in there.
