Hello !

So yeah, I'm experiencing a few problems with my brand new MPC 1k. Main one is I can't let samples play when I switch sequences using the same samples. The only thing I can do is to let the sequence go for more than the number of bars I had previously scheduled first. The result is that the sample is stopped and played again from the beginning when switching sequences in a song. Not good at all. Any tips ?

Second big one is I don't succeed changing just one sound in a sequence : for instance, I'll hit a pad, that'll be a kick, but when recorded, I feel it's a bit off beat, so i'll try to move it a bit (like a few milliseconds) but looks like I can just change all the sounds made from that pad (meaning all the kick of that sequence) while I just got one which is off beat and needs to be moved... Anyone got any ideas ?

Thanx for all the people sharing their knowledge on this board btw...

i know this is all i ever talk about, but the reason you could be off beat is because timing correct is on. hit the T.C. button under the screen and set it to you choice, or off. if its set on off it will play exatly as you record it.

peace

Two fixes, basically: Either step edit or realtime erase and replace.

Step edit fix means you enter step mode, figure out which hit is the one that's off, copying it and deleting the original, moving a few ticks in the right direction (using the clock counter in top left) and pasting. It's simple but takes getting used to the counter.

Realtime fix means you just overdub and erase the specific note that's off, and re-record.
