muting main loop when hitting another pad??

ok basically i took a sample and looped it and then i took some vocals out the song and i want to make it so i can have that small piece of the beat loop but then when i hit the pad with the vocals the main beat will stop and pick back up after the vocal part much appreciated

I just logged in to report the same problem...it happened all of a sudden, so I know I must have hit something. Even when I turn the MPC off and back on it still does it...

I recorded a kick that rings out, and it wont let me snare come in until the kick stops...weird. I can't figure it out. Hope someone can help us.

thats actually what i wanna do...i did it by accident and it sounded nice for what i was tryin to do...try to stretch out the bars or make sure ur hitting overdub or try recording on a different track maybe

I have kick on track one and it wont let me record my snare on track two, it will only play it when the kick isn't sounding. Sucks. Tried with all the samples. Its almost like too many voices playing in midi and they wont play all at once...but i know it can't be a midi issue.

yo try deleting some of the samples from the program, i have a bunch of long samples on all 16 pads of A and a bunch of drums on C and D, I'm thinking its getting maxed out. I'm gonna try it and let u know if it works...

k...got it. I had all my samples saved into the same folder. I usually record a 15 second sample then cut it up on the mpc. I had three of the long samples saved in the folder with the sounds i load into my program. When I deleted the longer samples it made the muting go away. I guess it is a polyphony thing...
