Anyone here producing electronic music on the 1000?

I am considering getting a 1000 but was wondering how its working programming electronic techno and trance like tracks

If you got any hardware synths or soft synths, then the 1000 will do the job well.
But if not, and you really want an all-in-one machine without the need for other synths, then I'd recommend the 5000, as it has a built-in synth which would be more usefull for trance than any other MPC.
Try both models out wherever they're being sold, and get a feel for what's right for you.
In my opinion, working with an MPC has always been more fun than sequencing on a computer.... and I've been producing techno & house with MPCs since the 2000 came out back in '97.

you can't NOT make electronic music on the mpc1000!

yeah i usually just mic mine up when i'm playing live and hit it with different objects.
