Using 1000 for live shows

Hi, im new, couldnt fid the faq section, got q few questions
Im thinking about buying a 1000 to replace my pc set up for live shows, need something more stable with multiple outs

1. I want to know if the mpc would read my Ableton Live Files ?
2. Is there a way where I can play a full set without having to make more than 1 program ?
3. any tutorials that would help me with this

The mpc is more about arranging shorter sounds to new pieces, if you just want to loop stuff theres better gear for that.

Best would be to check one out at a store to see what it is capable of. Or (a bit more boring) read the manual.

I've worked live with laptop and MPC. The latter is definitely more stable

Not the .als files. The samples yes, as long as they are 16 bit, 44.1 Khz. You'd better consolidate each loop in Ableton. Timestretching on the MPC is not as good.

In theory yes, but that's very limited in number of samples you can use. But why should you? In each sequence you can use more programs. Each of the 64 tracks in 1 sequence knows what program to play. You can even chose more programs on a track by sending program changes.

It's not like Ableton. Don't confuse programs with Ableton files. Load everything (sequences/ songs/programs, samples) into RAM (max 128 mb) and you don't have to wait during a performance. I can have more then ten songs in memory at once. Play them without a pause.
Think different... but be smart with your RAM memory.

i use a Roland SP-404 for live shows and love it, for triggering samples and loops and it has great effects for live play. or spend a little less and get an SP-303 both are great for just that.
