I Need Help Using My MPC and M-Audio Fast Track Pro together

Okay, so I
ve basicly tried everything to the point where I feel like I have to turn to you guys for help.


Here's my set up. My turntable is hooked up to a dj mixer and it comes in to my mpc through its audio in ports. My studio speakers are hooked up to my mpc viz its audio out ports. Are there anymore ports on the mpc to connect to the fast track pro or do I need to get more than just a dj Mixer. Can anybody give me suggestions of how I can record in to "Audacity". Somebody help me

you havent mentioned how the fast track pro is connected. what you want to do is get a set of midi cables and send your audio outs to the fast track pro and midi as well.

you dont have to use midi if you dont have the cables. what you can do is connect the audio outs to the audio ins of the fast track pro. go and audacity and set up audio input output.. audio input being from the fast track pro and set your audio output not with the fast track pro but to go out from your computer, connect the monitors on your computer.

with your fast track pro connected to your computer by usb what would happen is the audio goes in the fast track and through the usb.

just record one track at a time by muting the others while playing..

disadvantage about not using midi
your going to notice your going to have a hard time getting your tracks on sync togther like you played it on your mpc even after setting your latency settings

reasons for this is pecause you have to press record on audocity and then after that you have to press play on the mpc for it to start recording on the computer.

this is why people use midi so you only have to press record once and they both play automaticlly insuring all tracks are in sync
