record to cd?

I've been hard at it for weeks I'm mad addicted to this S**t. I think it's going good
Any way I've been recording straight to my computer. BUt recently my jack into my laptop broke
and i'm gonna get it fixed , But I've started to read other mpc's forums (wich I highly recommend
doing, I've learned alot,) But some mpc 's have cd drives right on them, that dope. What the smallest,
mpc you can do that to , 1K, 2.5K or what And also is there a external? I would love it to be so tight.
Buy the way I wrote in the other day, and you guys gave it to me straight , made me look at my mpc
COMPLETELY DIFFERENT spent the whole day with the manual on my lap with the mpc on press every button

I think you have to get at least the 2500 to be able to have the built in drive. I don't think an external would work but you should definately DOUBLE CHECK!

Also Big Props on reading the manual! Was it worth it!

Actually now that i know my way around alittle, the manual does strt to make sence.
I learned to use the note repeate to make slick hats, and rolls, super fun , learnded to copy bars,
and how to load sound files by usb. Which was sweet to have all new sounds quick, I relize ther not as cool
as record samples , but really i'm still learning skills so i'd rather work on some other stuff for the meantime . I
got my whole life to dig and I plan on doing it .I got A late start I'm 30. Anyway peace thanx for the help I stilll want to here what's up with these cd burners i'll pony up if I have to.

Right now there is no plug and play CD burner for the MPC..... You can always buy an older stand alone CD burner to plug the MPC into directly with RCA's.....

I have one and have been using it for years.... I got this when CD recorders were the new hotness and this model makes some really clean sounding CD's..... This model only records audio CD's. This is just an option....

What type of CD's do you use for yours because I have a hard time finding some that work, The only one that works for me are the OLD @$$ FUJI'S the ones that are colored, RED-BLUE-GREEN-ORANGE-PURPLE They are hard to find. If the ones that you use is something that you buy off the internet could you provide the link, THANKS!

Yo, shwell thats cool i'd like one a little more stream lined but thats a good
easy way. Can you listen while you burn? How do you know it's on there?
but if any one can tell me more about either the 2500 or the 5000 with cd
drives good or bad . much appriciated!

why don't you just buy a cheap interface for your laptop and save a sh*tload of money

I have not run into problems using my cd recorder with the 700 mb disk.... Every once in a while it will not recognize a cd or 2, but nothing too serious...


Another option is to use Audacity to record it to your cpu and the convert it to the file type you want and then record to a CD..... Audacity is free...... I have to read your original post to see why I did not reccommend this initially.


Oh I see now, your jack into your computer is broken.... That's why I did not mention Audacity the first time...
