Wadup people,

Yesterday I plugged out my stereo-outs, but something really went wrong...
The metal part of the plug, the jack Image < the metal part of the plug > got stuck in my MPC's output. So now I did some research,
but didn't find anything usefull. Now my question is: anybody had this? what can I do? do I have to send it back to AKAI? or can I screw out the stereo-out and get the bloody jack out myself?

All tips are very appreciated, thanks

yeah open her up.

will be easy to reverse. but make sure it's not plugged in to the mains!

there's a tutorial on how to on this forum somewhere --- use the search function.

and remember to be gentle with your cables, don't remove em by yanking on the
cable itself --- always hold the jack and ease em out. aww yeah

What you need is a plastic forcep. NO METAL as there is charged capasitors inside the crate that can be destroyed.

thanks for the help guys, I know I have to be carefull taking out my cables. Offcourse I'm carefull with a 1000euro sampler ;). But I'll bring it to akai I suppose, I don't really have the balls to open it up myself.. unless anybody could hook me up with that tutorial, can't find it :$

Thanks for all the help so far people, really appreciated.

dude... man up a little! akai will take you to the cleaners just for a 2 second job!

if you don't want to do it yourself take it to an electrician in your area. they will have
the tools to remove it and probably won't even need to open it up.

just to be a stickler for terminology:

the jack is what you stick the cable in (female), the plug is the end of the cable (male)
