I cant see the MPC's disc through the mpc

At the beggining im sorry for my english : )

Recently i have bought MPC 1000. Now i try to put the samples in it.
When i put the cable between the PC and the Mpc 1000 it doesnt "recognize it" it appears as a external disc but i cant rly open it, it tells me "put the disc in the station"
Sorry 4 being lame : )

Plz help me.

PS. On the other PC problem was same and the USB's are not crashed for sure.

as far as i know, there is a program that makes it so you can read the cds on your computer. If i remember correctly, its called cdxtract (http://www.cdxtract.com/) im no expert, but i think the disks are in a format that only mpcs with cdroms can read.

How new is new, is it brand spankin new? Is the drive/card formatted? What OS are you running?

when you connect it are you going to the load screen and pressing "usb"?

If your on a PC check out [my computer]. Might be visible there????

Ive made a mistake inna topic title it should be I CANT SEE THE MPC's DISC through the PC.


Now its not brand new , its been bought on the e-bay. It looks like new. Its without guarantee, but the other documents are 100% legal.

Yes when i enter the MY COMPUTER folder MPC is VISIBLE but it is unable to open. It says " Insert the disc into the disc station"

on the MPC it is JJ OS 3.08

on the PC XP Pro.

do you have a CompactFlash card in the slot or a hard drive in the MPC?

I have flash memory card.

i lift the topic cuz i still need aid. plz help me!

Put the compact flash in the mpc, connect cable, go to load screen , hit USB and wah_la

format the card on the mpc first, then try to access it on the pc.
