I need an help with my new AKAI MPC 1000!!!

Hi everybody,
I've got a big problem with my MPC 1000 : many many times (all the times) I switch it on the LCD become green but nothing appears on it and so I can't use the MPC. Infact the MPC is blocked.
Can you help me?
I tryed to update the OS with the SWITCH ON+HOLD WINDOW button function but the problem remains.

Please help me!!!

It seems to be that same Problem that I have... What kind of Version you try to Update ?

I have the free version of the jjos, and when you turn the Data wheel and press the Stop button it changes the contrast of the screen.

If you dont have the os that I have, I suggest you consult the manual.

Ok, in the Original firm this is SHIFT + WHEEL ...

I Fix my Problem...Factory Settings and the MPC lighted up !
Maybe its the Same funkydrift...
