This is my Work Flow Chart:

okay, now let me explain. i do this on my hard drive to insure space to save my work quickly. my start folders are [KITS], [SONGS], and [AUTOLOAD]. when you scroll through [KITS], you have a choice of [Complete DRUMS] these are drum kits, [Complete Sounds] these are sound banks and instruments, and the [LOOSE Samples] is where you can keep your kits you're working on and samples you downloaded or recorded. when you jump over to [LOOPS] from [Complete Sounds] or [Complete DRUMS] these folders contain completed programs of drum loops [Complete DRUMS] and instrument loops/riffs in [Complete Sounds].
when you are in [SONGS], [InComplete] are songs you're still working on. in this folder you can separate by project(album/songs for yourself or someone else). when you're in [Completed SONGS] you have the choice of [Copy Written]these have been tranferred over from the [UnProtected] folder and you own a legal copywrite to these songs; or [UnProtected] these songs have are done but not yet been copywritten. [C. Inhouse]/[UNP. Inhouse] are songs for yourself, whereas [C. Sendouts]/[UNP. Sendouts] are songs you've created for someone else.
[AUTOLOAD] is for whatever you want. I usually put frequently used kits in here and use it as my FAVORITES.
TIPS:
1.when saving a KIT, save ALL SAMPLES and PROGRAMS (though i only save one kit at a time)
2.when saving a SONG, save ENTIRE MEMORY (this way you can keep all your kits and sequences. always make a new folder unless you're overwriting(updating/editting).
3.when transferring a KIT or SONG: Load it then re-save in new location(ie. load from [LOOSE Samples] then save in [Complete DRUMS]/[Complete Sounds].
