Pad/Slider Test:
Hold SHIFT and sequentially press D, C, B, A

weird! mine said "? as MPC Man"

if u go to mode other then footswitch press f6 and u can change it to whatever u want instead of ? it will show whatever u type in (name or whatever) it allso comes up everytime u turn on the mpc instead of mpc 1000 itll say what u typed in

oh yeah, that's right. i did that once before and it actually reset itself at one point. i think it was while updating the OS....?
