Prob with a midi connection from mpc 1000 to mc303 groovebox

The only reason I'm tryin to do this is cause my pads are F'ed. I might have one that works . But thats not enough.
I'm bruisin my finger tips tryin to bang hit's !

So how would I go about setting the groovebox as a slave to play the samples in the mpc.
I hope theres some roland people out there in mpc land.
