just wanted to know if anyone gets the mpc 1k properly synced to incoming midi clock? with mine (running os 1.04) the beat loses track of the incoming tempo, then resyncs and so on...
any ideas?

i've synced mine to both logic and a su700 and it works fine...make sure you have the right midi input selected for your master clock in the midi/sync menu, and that whatever is supposed to be your master clock is set up to send clock/song position data too. what are you slaving to, btw ?

hey sans soleil, ikts just the other way around: i am trying to use the mpc being slaved to other midi clock like nuendo, cubase, a rs 7000 and its always the same: it just doesn´t stay in sync all the time. its working well as a master, but i would like to use it as a slave. we have two mpc 1000s and they are not even able to sync to each other properly!

strange... are you also playing back longer loops (like one to two bars)? because i can only get it to work "ok" (not really tight) when i use short one shots...hmmm. what system are you on?

i've synced to a mac, running logic 4.7 thru a midisport interface, as well as to a yamaha su700 loop sampler...funny thing is, that i actually find the mpc to be very tight, timing-wise...more so than other set-ups.

Can't help dude - I've got mine slaving to Protools on my G4 and it works a treat.
