Hello everyone ,

I've been looking throught the previous posts to see if anyone has had a similar problem to the one I am currently experiencing ....... but I didnt find anything that helped . Anyway I'll explain .

My Mpc has always worked fine when connected to the Mac . This was the case up until a couple of days back .

Now , when I connect the MPC and hit the USB botton it says , as normal , "USB - connected " but the icon does not appear on the desktop . The card is in properly and as I said it has worked fine uo until now .

The other night we did have a power-cut whilt the mpc was connected so Im guessing that had something to do with it . But anyway , I was just wondering if any of you could help me out ?

Thanks

Matt

yep , tried all that , different usb ports , leaving it a while (it been connected for the last 10 mins , still nothing )

Ive also got one g4 laptop and an intel i-mac so it's not an a problem with any particular version of OSX either . It's a bit of a mystery .

Thanks anyway though

got a mate with a pc you can try it on?... i guess then you could eliminate the mac being the problem... its just that whole power cut thing. it sounds a bit ominous.....

Does doesn't it . Is there maybe a way of re-booting hd on the mpc ??, or upgrading the os (without usb!) ......... Would reformating the flash effect something ??

Like I say though apart from this , everything else is working fine , so ..........??

As for the PC thing , I'm a bit out in the sticks at the moment where there be no mates , and definately no PC's !

had this same problem, thought my flash card was in all the way, I double checked it and it wasn't.

problem was solved. so, triple check that the card is all the way in. i'm sure you have done that though.

sorry i couldn't be of better help.

Well if you power cut the computer or the MPC without properly ejecting the MPC icon on your computer than it probably doesn't recognize it cause it was a unsafe device removal so it might have erased the drive letter.

hmmm. it might be worth inserting a different compact flash card into the mpc, then connecting - maybe its your card thats corrupt... just another idea...
