MPC + Oxygen ?!

I got a question concerning my MPC1000 and my oxygen61 keyboard. I want to use the keyboard with my mpc, because it's easier to play basslines or other instruments with the oxygen. I've connected the midi out of the oxygen to the midi in of the mpc. I can use the modulation and when i press the keys, i can hear my samples. But the notes are scattered over the keyboard. I know that the mpc has a different note-assignment, but I don't know how to change it on the oxygen, to have the notes in one row. If someone knows how to change the assignment of the oxygen, please help me!

And one other question is, if it's possible to use the Stop, Play and Rec controls of the Oxygen Keyboard to control the MPC!

you can't change it on the oxygen. you have to change it on the mpc. hit mode then hit the pad for 'MIDI' then hit the f-key for 'note.' after that you'll have to change the note order in every bank so its sequential. thing is that the mpc doesn't save that arrangment when you turn it off. so you'll have to create a program, change the pad to note mapping, save the program, and then keep that program handy (autoload probably) for when you want to assign samples chromatically. search the forums. this is brought up over and over and i'm probably too drunk to make this coherent.

Yeah, this was something that pissed me off at first. Defineatly save the program. I don't know why there can't be some sort of instrument/chromatic setting you can change to instantly. Anyway, once i got smart enough to save the program, it's simple now.

For anyone who don't feel like making their own, someone made a Blank melodic PGM a few years ago. I still have that on my computer and just uploaded it to the following link....
