looping within a bar

Is it possible on the MPC1K to change start and end points of a bar?
I mean whether it could be done like in software sequencers -
say, looping part of a bar in the middle of it, like one quarter, for example.

nope

yuo can do it, but not with the loop function. (i.e., copy the sequence and mess with it til it does what yer looking for)
