Reason 2.5 & mpc 1000

Everytime I make a beat in reason and sample it into my mpc i don't sound the same, it's like my mpc degrages my beat. I know the mpc has the analog sound but what i i'm talking about is different. it sounds like mush and it sounds much more powerful in reason.I do my drums in my mpc not on reason and it sounds powerful but when i get the beat i did in reason in my mpc it don't got that power. I tried making a wave file and doing usb and it still don't got that power and I tried the analog way record it from my analog board still the same thing. when I do it from my board and turn the board up high I get a nasty hiss.Can someone please help me?

When you export a beat out of reason - what format is it in - ie, 22.Khz/44.Khz --- 8 bit/ 16 bit ? Make sure when your exporting out of reason that these settings are optimised.

Are you listening to your beat on the MPC out of the same speakers as when you listen in Reason? - (I know that sounds dumb but I'm thinking of everything I can).

I advise using the USB transfer as opposed to any analog transfer - no degredation in sound quality.

Man I'm stumped, explain in a little more detail how your getting your beats out of Reason.

16 bit sampling.I'm using the same monitors for my mpc and reason. My music sounds more full on reason i'll give you a example like my strings sound real full in reason and when i put it in my mpc it's not as loud. Please help me. do you have reason? and it so how do you sample

oh yea this is how I record my beats from reason. I turn reason on set up my beat and let's say i got 5 tracks in my but I'll mute 4 and have one track playing all my audio is going threw my analog mixing board "samson mixpad9" my mpc 1000 is also set up threw my board. I go into record mode in my mpc record the track from reason track buy track.

Yeah I got 2.5 - but I don't use it all that often. I certainly never compose using it.

When you export - can you play your .wav files in another media player on your computer - does it sound the same or weaker?

I'm trying to identify where in the chain things are stuffing up

So does this happen with anything else you sample using your MPC1k. Like a cd or something?

i don't sampler cd's but if I have a song on my computer and put it my mpc it sound good just not reason. i'm going crazy

I think I read somewhere that reason bounces audio at an automatic -3db decrease to provide for more headroom. just a thought...

yeah make sure the volume is max'ed out on the program screen. if the master volume is at -12 or -6 it's obviously gonna sound a lot quieter too.

ive had the opposite experience from you- stuff sounds great on the mpc and thin everywhere else.

definatly sampling level. Doesn't the 1000 normal to below 0 dB ?

why are you sending the beat (melodies i assume) back to the mpc?

i would only do this to tweak the sounds a bit, not even i would do this with whatever recording software i have.

dude could be a few of reasons. Playing live, or cuting up and triggering samples with a much more direct and natural feel since your physically playing with your hands......
