Akai 128MB Compact Flash Card [Help PLEASE]

Hello everyone,

I recently received my MPC 1000. It came with the 128MB Akai Compact Flash Memory Card.
However, everytime I put the card into the MPC, all that will appear on the MPC interface when I boot it up is a blank screen.

If anyone can tell me why this is happening or how I can fix this, please let me know.

Format the card then try again.

you might have a bent pin inside your reader. get a flash light and take a look

Did you buy the 1000 new or second hand?

Did you try a different CF card in your 1000 - can you read the CF card from your PC (try to reformat if you can).

Did you try booting up the 1000 first and then slipping the card in - can you see or read it then?

It appears as if one of the pins is indeed bent.
And yes, the MPC is second-hand. Barely, but it is.

Should I take some tweezers and perform a minor operation? Or is that too risky?

As long as you can get the pin straight again there shouldn't be any problems.

I can see it clearly now . . . two of the pins are pretty much stuck together. The bent one is pretty much stuck to the straight one next to it.

How the hell do I get in there?

UPDATE : I somehow, someway, penetrated inside and fixed the pins.
