MPC 1K (Blk BN, New Pads)..... 60 gb HD, and 5gb CF card (Yes it worx)..... JJOS 1...
Wasn't sure where to post this one.. But I did a search, and thought I already posted this, but I do not see it... So here we go again...
Is there something that is done that will cause an MPC to see both the CF card, and the internal HD as full.
I was using my MPC about a week ago, doing some MIDI tracks. I had to jet out the crib, so I left it on, and ended up being gone for like 3 days straight.. When I get back, the MIDI tracks are acting funny and only playing back Grand Piano sounds (All channels). So I say **** it and just turn it off..
A couple days later I try and revisit it, but the MPC will not load any of my sounds or anything else that is saved... So I hook it up to the Laptop and try to take a closer look at the memory... It all is checking out, so I reset and try again... This time it loads and seems to be working fine, with the exception of MIDI. When I try and save the couple of drum tracks I created, it says that the card and HD are both full.... I know the HD only has 2.5 gb used (Out of 60), and the CF card only has 980mb used (Out of 5gb). I take the CF card out and try reading it with the CPU and it also says it is full....
I copy both the CF and the HD to my Ext HD, and reformat them with the MPC.... After reloading them everything is working fine again (Even MIDI). It is pointing me to a corrupt file based on previous memory experiences.... But I am not sure, and wanted to know if this may have happened to anyone b4.
Thanx for any help or input you all can give me with this one.... I am worried that I may be on my way to losing all my saved files.... I have them backed up on my PC, but want to know if I should be planning on some service/repair...
