Yes I know I suck

Hey I've had my MPC fora few months and I love it. However, I'm not technically savvy at all I i can't understand how to get my sample time to be more than 4 seconds and it says Insufficient Memory when I try to chop a sample into regions. I've been told that I need more memory so how do i go about doing that? Do I need to install a memory card or what? Any help would be awesome because 'm retarded wen it come to technical stuff.

At the top of this thread is some advice on which non-AKAI RAM will work, or you can spend $ on akai ram, which is overpriced, but to add more ram, look on the bottom of the mpc, there is a small rectangle with screws, open that and add the ram once you get it, the other thing you can do is turn off auto load and only load the samples you want, it will free up alot of space(enough to get you going) good luck and you will encounter joys and pains, its part of the music.
