NO SOUND??? UGHHHH HELP PLEASE

brand new to the mpc 1k i bought from ebay.

ok so i cant get sound out of my headphones from the pads.
if i go to Mode Load I can scroll through the sounds and hit f5 and it plays the sounds. so they ARE there.

after searching through the manual I am stumped I thought maybe the master was turned down which it seems not to be after i finally found it.

does anyone have any ideas?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

just because the sounds are loaded does not mean they are assigned to pads......if u do not load a "program"
u will have to assign all of the sounds u have loaded MANUALLY .


so are ur sounds loaded to the pads ....or....are they just loaded into the available ram ?? to check , hit mode then pad 7 .

also check to make sure that u dont have and mute functions on

hey thanks for the response. i actually just figured it out!!!

yes they were assigned to pads...

i think the guy that had this baby last must have been using the midi because messing around with some stuff in Midi/Sync (mode pad9) i got it to work.

if anyone else has this problem my settings are now

active track recieve channel: 16
soft thru: Off
Sequence change by program change: Off
Pad to internal sound: On
