Music production toolkit for sync to pro tools 8

Do i need music production toolkit for syncing my Mpc to pro tools 8 i have tried unsuccessfuly to sync the 2 with the mpc being the master but have had zero luck so far so does anyone have any ideas on this...? thanx...!

no you dont need the toolkit to sync. why dont you list what you have tried to do to get the 2 to sync. i sync my mp with no problems.

i have attempted to go to the sync page in pro tools and activate the mtc send receive dialog only for zilch to happen when puting pro tools into sync enable...its not the midi cable as the sync is fully up and working in cubase studio 4 with the mpc fully functional as the master..i had it syncing in the 7.4 version of pro tools ok but no joy since i upgraded to 8..... i can get activation using the Midi Machine code command but the timing is out but it does activate any idea,s ?
