Hi all ....

Been chopping up some tunes/beats in Recycle and using blue box to put some kits together.

I have no problem loading the kits into the MPC and opening them on the unit. When tapping the pads, the samples trigger just fine. However - and it's a frustratingly big however - when I go to record, the recorded sounds on playback are just like short fart noises and not the samples triggered from the pads ... ?

Any ideas here, guys ??

Make shure that all samples are set to "one shot" and check the mute groups. No idea though :(

Yeh, Eimer, done that ... it is an odd one ?

' sure you're not sending MIDI signal from your mpc to something else? '

Yes, I'm sure that I am not ... the unit is set up as per normal and my other sets made up via Recycle work just fine ?
Although I never used to use Blue Box to put the kits together ... have really only just started using it. But this said, some of my earlier kits put together in Blue Box just fine ??

The mystery deepens ???

And this problem only occurs when using programs created in blue box?
And what about samples u have imported straight from Recycle into the mpc?
Are u transfering it through usb or do u save everything to CF card and pop it in the mpc?

Yep, only has just started to happen via Bluebox created kits ... although I have made kits with Bluebox before without any problem.

No issue samples straight from Rycyle and eveything gets saved onto CF card and then imported into MPC.

it's possible your WAV files aren't 44.1khz 16bit. or maybe you aren't saving your programs in separate folders and your files are getting mixed up?
By inthemix Sat Oct 10, 2009 3:18 pm
Yep, 16 bit, 44hz ... and, no, my files are set up with samples and pgm in the usual way ...

This really is stumping me ? The point is, when I play the samples from the pads, they trigger just fine and how I sliced them. yet, when I record those same sounds into an MPC sequence, on playback all I get is literally a farting noise in place of the samples ??

Yeh, but JJ or not has nowt to do with this ... all other kits made with Bluebox work just fine ... it's just the last couple made up over the last week and abit that are playing up ... and everything has been done is the same usual way ( which is what stumps me so much ... I mean, I'd understand if I had done something radically different from what I nromally do ? ). Oh well ... ?
