what did you use for the screen tilt? is it a wood case or plastic? the paint looks likes that hammered texture paint. kind of remindes me of the pontiac aztec.

its wood, fiberglass, bondo, and clear plastic.

the data wheel is just a metal one off an old receiver.

its dope having a tall one, try it.

i didn't do the tip to look cool. I did it to make the machine less annoying to lean over.

First thing I noticed was the tilt screen. Nice one.
Looks like it's screaming out to be a dirty, gritty, crunchy old school sampler. It'd put me in a good frame of mind for making beats.

I'm lovin' the screen, the knob is pretty cool too; I didn't realize you could use knobs from other electronics that aren't meant for MPCs. The paint job isn't what I would have done but that's your preference so nice work. I wonder if they'll eventually come out with a screen upgrade for the 1k so that it tilts? They make different pads (the upgrade) and different colored pads, buttons, screens, etc. I wonder why they haven't made a screen that tilts.

i actually didnt paint it, i let my DJ buddy rock this at his place 99.9 percent of the time, so I just let him do his thing with it, since hes buying it off me at some point anyway.

i would have done all black, personally.

the reason they dont sell a kit is because you have to cut the shit out of the case to make it work.
