Hey! Just joined these forums and wanted to give a shout! I picket up a MPC 1000 a few days ago and have been really loving it....Can't wait to really learn all its features..

I have one problem though...I cannot seem to download the latest OS update from the Akaipro website. When I try to download the file it keeps giving me a error that the decompression failed??? Any ideas???

I'm running a G4 powerbook Ti with the lasted version of OSX...???

Can't figure it out. If anyone can shoot me the file, that would be sweet.

Thanks in advance.

Ps..I'm currently running OS v 1.03

Hi, first post here,
There's another problem with os 1.07 and os X, since akai has not packed that os into a folder (eg zip file containing a folder containing the bin file) stuffitexpander and the default unarchiving system on os x both have a problem with that (coz of the .bin extension). The solution could be ctrl-click -> download linked file (this way safari doesn t try to unpack it). After that you can either try to download some soft to unarchive the bin, or open a terminal cd to the folder where the bin resides (probably the command would be cd ~/Desktop) then issue the command "unzip Name_Of_The_file".
Thar worked for me.

i put the 1.07 bin file in the megaupload ^^^^^^. it's not packed. it's just the bin file. try that.

^^^^^
Yeah, I ve seen that (checked after the post tho) and it's the best solution. (since os1.07 is a small file. - os 2 wont be that small huh? Just kiddin ;-))
@ ryeNice, it's cool.

Sparq, imagine you had accidentally uploaded 1.99.0033 instead of 1.0.7 in that Megaupload
That guy, ryeNice, would be going from 1.0.3 to '2.0' without realizing
....what a minute, i haven't loaded your bin file in my 1k yet...... 8)

You received it on CF?
you don't have it on you computer HD, in that case there's little hope for a accidental upload :)
