sampling reason 3.0 synths to the 1k

ok ima explain this in detail so know one gets confused . first of all i use my roland keyboard to record a sample in the [mode] pad 5 [record] to the mpc and i loop it with my sequence , now tha problem is i want to do tha same thing with reason 3.0 i like tha sounds so bad im wouderin if i can do tha same thing / i have a midi controll keyboard too . now this is my question will i need an interface that will do the job that i want it to . keep in mind i use the Record In (L and R). does any one know wut i should do ?

anyone know its really important ?

in reason file menu
choose export as loop

make sure you mute all unwanted tracks on your mixer


after you export as loop, transfer wav file to your mpc

easy as pie

so are you sayin there isnt a way to play it straight to the mpc , like i do it to the roland cuz thats wut im tryin to figure out . I know its possible but i dont know wut to get for it .

Hey Dawg...Im not really sure about this but i think u will need a sound card that will allow you to synk reason and the mpc with midi. Theres a video made by Sparq that shows you how u could do this.Take a look...Its real helpfull. Its on one of the Sticky subjects.

iight well thanks for at least helpin me , but ima go buy an interface and see , is that wut i should do cuz i can go return it if it doesnt work.

Before you go out to buy anything...check the video first...I think its under the topic 2.1 videos....by Sparq...Trust me its worth watchin...and it will help you understand what you need.

i make up a synthline in reason. And when i like it, i record it thru the digital connection. Then i trim the loop and put it in my sequense. Works perfect for me. (ofcourse with reason synced to the pc).

But actually, what Lord T told you works just as well, no hook ups involved. I never thought of that.

Do you do any sequencing in Reason at all, or do you just play the keyboard?

Cuz think about this: say you set up a click track in reason, then sequence the synth line loop (4 bars or whatever) in reason. as long as it's set to the same tempo as your MPC sequence, you can export that synth line from reason as a .wav file to your desktop. once it's there, just drag it onto your MPC via USB. you won't even need to trim it or anything once its on the MPC; it's a perfectly cut loop already. no signal quality loss, no external hardware, just pure chewing satisfaction.
