chopping samples (mpc1000 os 1.07)

I HAVE READ the entire manual...the editing samples is confusing me...is there anyone out there that can break it down a lil easier for me? when i try to edit them it seems like its(the sample)is still the same as b4 i edited it!!! also---when making a song how do copy bars EX-i made an intro outro a 16 bar verse section and an 8 bar chorus section whats the easiest way to copy bars so as im not repeating the verse and chorus section over and over again---------------I Just got my MPC 3 days ago i'm doin pretty good for a newbie---but i need sum help----------aint to proud to ask/BEG 4 it eitha!!!!! editing samples (basics):

go to MODE TRIM
chop the sample
press f6 EDIT
turn data wheel to select DISCARD (this will delete all audio not selected, press any pad just to check the sample you are saving)
press f5 DO IT
go to MODE SAVE
from here on you'll figure it out, much simple.

if that aint any simpler, than you should just trade it in. and not be blunt in a cruel and rude way but how do you expect to make tight beats if you dont know how to do something as simple as choping a loop with a 2 button movement? you get me? I mean famous producers didnt have the internet, shiet they never read the manual, they were just skilled, and if people dont got the logic to figure thangs out themselves, they should quit. I meant i ccant set the the start and end points effectively....I know how to get to the edit window and all that--I just cant do it effectively and quickly-------I c that alot of folks on this forum always gotta answer with sarcasm and ignorance, CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG---but i thought this site was for getting tips tricks,general info, buying and downloading samples, mpc news and updates and FOR HELP!!!!!!!!!!! If i unzip the new os from AKAIPRO.COM how long does it take to load? and do i save it to a cf or in the internal flash? also if you update your os is the factory installed os still in the internal mem? Should i make a backup copy of 1.7 or just leave it in my internal flash and turn the autoload from start function off? anyone that can help or anything w/o bein NASTY, Im all EARS.......

First off, calm tf down. This site IS for help, but sometimes the simplest stuff is just TOO easy, gaston broke it down as far as it could go. For the life of me I can't think of anything more simple than how he explained it.

As for songs, FIRST you must make a few/several (whatever) sequences, edit those sequences however you see fit. NOW, go into song mode and chain those sequences together. There is your song.

How do i get the start and end times more precise--im having trouble chopping samples,im using os v1.07--just got my mpc1k 3 days ago and my pc is crap-so imma chill on upgradin the os till i got a good pc with win xp(or any win better than 98!!!)-- Is it possible to sample somethin and then have it brokedown into a certain amount of pieces/chops automatically in the mpc or is that somethin that can only b done manually??? i.e.--I take "Impeach the Pres." and get a 5 second sample(maybe 2 bars-approx) is there a way to get it broke down automatically---like a 16 levels kinda thing --sorta??????? my prob is that i cant get the samples edited/chopped precisely and its drivin me NUUUUTZZZ--i just got my MPC 3 days ago--im learnin more and more each time --by RTM and foolin around- and doin things over n over and it sticks in my head.... if this quest seems dumb i aint slept in 38 hrs-just catchin a few zzz's--so my mind aint right(but then again whose is!!)

I found a chopping samples video on youtube but when he was chopping em there was an option that i aint ever seen in my 1k-----slice----im guessin that thats only on os v2.01 right??? if so anyone know of another video that shows it on os 1.o7/ the one on megaupload doesnt worjk anymore-----if anyone has succesfully updated there os using a pc w/ win98 holla at me pm me or reply to this post and let me know whats up ( with 1 or both parts of this question.

I tested sparq's download link that i posted above and it still works. as i mentioned before, you'll need to refresh the page. you'll initially see an error page, but once you refresh the page and follow the link on the upper-right corner, it'll lead you to where the download link will be. a popup window will also block the link on that page on the upper-right corner as well. just click and drag that window away and you'll see the download link countdown until it's ready to be downloaded.
