Midi Out from MPC to midi in of korg.
Midi out of korg to midi in of MPC.
you could also sample directly from the Korg? (I would!)

I hate 2 say it, bro
But it soundz like you need to read the f**ken manual!
Good luck.

Thanks man, i have did all that, double chek 4 or 5 times. The KORG will only play like 2 samples for the MPC1000. I have read all the MIDI Clock setings for the KORG & the MPC1000 and still not nothing. Hook it up the way they say , still i cant get the KORG to play with the MPC1000

Are you trying to trigger the korg from the mpc??
If so Midi clock is not needed.
All you're doing is using the MPC as a sequencer no?

you just need audio cables in that case. korg out to mpc in.

NO

i have all the cables hook up like this.

MIDI OUT OF THE MPC1000 TO MIDI IN OF THE KORG.

MIDI IN OF THE MPC1000 TO THE MIDI OUT OF THE KORG.

Thats how i go it hook up. The tech at the local KORG say thats right.

But the darn keyboard want play.

midi only enables the mpc to tell the korg which notes to turn on and off, and when. to get the sound out of the korg and into the mpc, which is what i believe you want to do, you need audio cables. midi cable carry no sound.

i should be able to use my KORG keyboard and it play sync with the MPC1000, Right?and able to modify sounds n my MICRO KORG. I cant do nothing. Iload a program in my MPC1000.with 8 samples and only 3 of those samples will play on the keyboard. I cant get any program sounds n the keyboard to play

so, put very simply, you would like to press the keys on the korg, and have the mpc play a sample it has in its memory?

Yes. I have seen guys at a dj shows lay down live tracks with ther keyborads using the MPC1000 and make killer tracks. I want to be able to make beats with my MPC1000 and use my KORG to lay syn over the beats. I cant figure out how to do that

Sounds like you need a mixer.
then you could use the mpc to trigger the korg via midi
and have all the audio channels from both mpc and korg going into that.
But if you wanna do that ur gonna have to rtfm.

If you want to sample sounds from the korg into the mpc that's another matter, put the left and right outputs from your korg into the Record Ins of the mpc and hit Mode+5 (record) on your mpc to record!

like joeybells said, use a mixer to get sounds form both machines to play through your speakers. if you don't want to sample the korg, just use midi cables in between the mpc and korg. then you need to read page 48 in the PDF manual. that will tell you how to set up your kit. then read page 24 this will tell you how to sequence the korg on the mpc.

have fun.

Yo Joeybells, see i dont want have to do it like that. I was told i would be able to use my KORG as a MIDI keyboard. That way i can play around with sound b4 i record it as track to a sequence. The problem is i was told is getting the KORG to syn with the MPC1000. I really dont want to have to record a sound n the mode 5. Thats not real time producring.

Does anyone using an micro KORG synthesizer/ vocoder with a MPC1000? If so please PM. me so tell me how you got the keyboard to work with your MPC1000 with out having to record thru analog.
