Its a good machine but people want bigger a mpc with more outputs in the big studios. If you got money why would u get the smallest mpc. Plus as u said they started on the bigger ones.

Dre from Cool & Dre uses the 1K as his main drum machine. It's just that you never seen his studio. But on the real man, just do you.

You see the 1k in a lot of portable studios because it is portable.

yeah, i suggest to anyone and everyone to sell thiers and or not buy one in the future...they are simply useless...no need for one anywhere...simple as that...the sound that comes out of them is str8 garbage...

GO...SPEND BIG AND GET BIG.

i think a lot of it has to do with the limited inputs and outputs. 2 midi ins and outs is kinda wack. but there's always ways to get around that.

I don't know about in the Studio's, but I've seen alot of them Live lately.
Dalek and Saul Williams both used 'em live, I guess the size makes it easier to transport.

wa..wa..wa....what? Please expand...what the hell is so bad about it?

My guess is that the comment was a joke, building on Antonym's similar statement (also a joke).

If not, it's a wind-up and should be ignored.

The question you should always ask yourself about a piece of gear is 'Is this the best thing for me right now?' (where 'best' is usually a combination of what you need to do your music, and what you can afford or can be bothered to save up for).
