anyone still using 2.1

their was another topic like this but i dont feel like reposting

i just wanted to find out whos still using 2.1

i've grown attached to 2.1, it doesnt matter how meny new features come with the 3.0, 2.1 feels much much much more stable, i havent had it freeze on me from the time it was released.

if your still using it, could you just reply with

1. if you have used 3.0 and if so what made you switch back
2. what advantages do you feel it has over the new 3.0

i'm still using os2.10 as its been working fine for me... i dont really need the features on the beta 3 to make my music. plus i'm used to the layout of os2.10.

I'm still on 2.1. It's been working for me without any hassle.

However, I'll switch to 3.x after it's worked out. I just may even wait & pay the $30 after it's complete.

I'm jus t used to the features of 2.1 & don't want to have any down time to learn the new OS right now.

Don't get me wrong I think the new OS is a great idea.

Using 2.1, used to the layout. Whatever gets the job done.

im rocking 2.1. only problem i have is the 'directory error' but i just save to a new folder a delete the old

i'm still using 2.1 because i'm in the middle of some work and i don't have time to experiment with a beta OS.
that guy programming the custom os has actually implemented a few features i've wished for the 1K even before 2.1
when i'm done i'll switch to the sharpened 3.o without hesitation.

I'm still rockin the 2.1os..I really don't feel the need to change..I'm comforable this os...Some of the features I hear the new os has sound cool though..I just feel like I really wouldn't use them, or have a need for them..Like the sayin goes "If it ain't broke why fix it."

I'm with metafor on this ....... until Akai confirm whether or not if they will put out another OS. I'm sticking with this 2.1

i installed 3.0 beta 14 when that first dropped, played with it for a bit but then swtiched back to 2.1 because i was working in the studio and couldnt afford to have a buggy operating system ( at least not buggier that 2.1 already was, lol ) .... now that i'm done for a little bit, i installed the newest beta today and have been messing with it. no major problems at all, just some small stuff other people have noted. as soon as the direct record feature is smoothed out 100% i will be one happy mofo. i will say that once all these reported bugs have been resolved by jj, i would def drop the money to buy it. the workflow in 3.0 seems much smoother.
also i saw a few posts with people concerned about reverting back to 2.1 for whatever reason, and it works fine.

well, 3.whatever is still in testing. So it is unstable by nature, the whole point of releasing it right now is to work out the kinks. I just got a 1k in my hands again today. First thing, load up 2.1, make beats. When i get some work done, 3.xxxxx and see if i like it. But i don't expect it to be as solid.

i have tried all the betas-and think the sequencer feels different-not quite as accurate as the akai os-noticed most when using note repeat---
I like the new os features,and will keep checking it out-may even buy it,but
will wait till i'm sure-
maybe akai will send some goons out t jump JJ and hijack his code...

Still on 2.1. Don't really need the new featues and I don't feel limited at all with 2.1. I'm happy where I am and just want to get on with making music not worrying about bugs (which there seem to be a lot of)
