quantisation

Hello to everybody.
I just bought an mpc 1000 and i'm learning to use it,but there is something can't find in the manual and i don't know if it exists.Is there a way to quantisize the samples to avoid rythmical errors while playing pads?
And another thing is there a way to detect the bpm of a sample?

I know what you mean but for example if you are playing a sample and you hit another pad and you want that sample starts exactly when the other one has finish,is it possible? quantization at 1 bar for example , like in ableton live.

it seems that you don't understand what i mean TC corrects you the time when you are recording not when you are playing.

Time correct is ONLY active when you are recording.

When you are just playing (sequence not running) it's on YOU to be correct.

There's no help with that, YOU master your own timing in your own fingers.

Practice makes you better so practice more.

The option is in your human timing, there is no machine that I know of that can do your (non sequencing) timing for you. You got it twisted, that's not even a real option, that's just something you want and doesn't even exists in the real world.

That's in your manual, I'm not about to walk you through that.

I think you are wrong.Try ableton live and you will see that this option exist.It quantisize you the clips while you are playing,and is a real usefull option when you are playing a chopped sample.

I think woozee means that elastic audio thing in ableton live but its not about timing correct its about timestretching.

No is not about timestretching.In ableton you can choose a quantisation:1 bar,1/8,1/16 etc...and than when you're playing the clips ableton respect the quantisation that you have use,so you don't make mistakes when you are playing.But I think that unfortunately the akai doesn't have this option.

you can quant your play.
hold the noterepeat key han select quant resolution.
keep it pressed while hitting the instrumentpads and the sound will hit the beat perfectly.

Why don't people just learn how to play in time?!..Doesn't seem like a hard task to me!!!!
