Upgrading OS

Can someone help me?? I got blue MPC with an OS 1.03 (it's the old one as I understood) and I tried to upgrade from this version to version 3.05 but I had a system failure and now all my MPC is hooked up! It's tellin that "A correct OS file wasn't found. system halt..."

And what to do now?? I'm pissed cause I can't get my MPC started anymore! It asks for a CF with another OS!

U dunn messed up big time.

4 sure messed up! Didn't knew that I can't upgrade my old one!

Is there anything I can do now??

he's messing with you maan! first I would download the O.S from Akai's site to a CF card (.bin) follow instructions on the read me note, And you should be set to go.Trust me your Machine is not messed up.

Ok thanks, but how can I load .bin file into my CF if I can't get into my MPC?? Can ypu help me with this one??

and this is why i would not use that JJ os crack. Fam, OS 3.05 is not an official akai OS.

You could say that again....People are dropin their mpcs just to get the 1k for some bootleg os!

Say what you will.....I was a little scared at first about upgrading to 3.05.........I'm not regreting it though.....I love grid edit !!!!!

You need to have OS 1.07 to go OS 2.1, so I guess you need to have at least OS 1.07 installed before you upgrade to OS3.X.
Try go to 1.07 to OS 2.1 to OS 3.X.

Thank you guys! I found my problem! I made a new topic cause my Memory Card Slot driver is broken and that is the reason! Talking about OSs, I managed to upgrade from v1.03 to v3.05 and MPC is working properly with no problems!

And one more thing - v3.05 is great! My advice is to check it out!!

3.05 is based on akai code, i am 100% unafraid of it and have been using it since the betas first started coming out. never switched back once.
