Reason and Mpc

I just bough a midi to usb connection and wondered how i can use reasoin with my mpc.

Use Reasona sound module. Slave Reason to the MPC. Then the MPC can trigger the sounds in Reason.

Yeah thats what i want to do but how can i do it i connected the midi to usb and opened reason but no sound was coming out of anything and on the moc it said waiting for midi play.

1) Plug Midi out USB male midi plug into MIDI Out Port A on the back of the MPC

2) turn on MPC then Turn on Reason

3) go to MIDI/Sync (MODE+PAD 9)

4) Go to Sync tab (F2)

5) click over to Sync out and turn off to A (Master)

6) Go down to Mode (on screen, not the button) and make sure it is on MIDI CLOCK, also turn SEND MMC to ON

7) Go to Reason and go to preferences

Go to page and click on it and go to MIDI and choose your USB to MIDI interface

9) then go to Advance MIDI and go to BUS A and choose your USB to Interface again and also go down to the Misc area and choose your USB interface again in both Remote Control and MIDI Clock Sync (not sure if you have to do this, but I do it and it works for me so I always do it, it wont hurt anything, it only helps)

10) Now go to the Rack area of Reason and scroll to the top of the page and go to your MIDI In Device and now on each Channel on the MIDI In Device can be applied to each module in Reason (click on the arrow thing on each channel and choose the module you want to be controlled by that MIDI channel)

11) now go to a track on your MPC and click over to your MIDI option area on the main screen and choose a MIDI channel and control the corresponding channel in Reason with that MPC track.

p.s. make sure you turn off your program on your MPC track

I did all that but still no luck i have just the midi to usb plugged in do i need any more leads or not. I am also using 4.82 jj opertating system on my mpc.

Still not working anyone. The devices i am using has a midi in and out and a usb at the other end is that right or do i need some audio leads as i have tried all said above and in the pdf and still nothings happening.

Yes...you have the right equipment.

1st. Is the driver for the midi to usb adapter installed? Is there a light that lights up when you press the pads? IS there any indicators that the midi to usb adapter is receiving the signal in the first place?

2nd. Is midi turned on, on the mpc?

3rd. Are the preferences set in Reason? You should see the midi to usb adapter under "Advanced MIDI, Bus A:" Also the adapter should be checked under "Midi Clock Sync, Port:"

yes alll thats turned on but when connected i dont get anything from the mpc just my usb keyboard

Not trying to be a smartass, but dont forget that you have to connect midi out to midi in and vice versa (thats a mistake ive seen quite some times)

Well i think the problem is my midi usb device aint working its ment to have 3 light on but only 1 on at the moment it need a driver
