my MPC 1000 won't record!

From using the search function (and trust me I have before I asked my question) I've seen that rich_biatch responds that way to almost everyone especially newbs. Thanks for the help tho nicebeats1. You guys are great. This forum is going to thrive with members like you guys.

Yes I've read the manual illiterati. The thing is I chop up the sample, load the program, but when i hit the pads to hear the chops I've made....No sound. I only hear sound when I go into the trim mode. I'm back on the Akai OS for right now and the record button is working now but still no sound. IDK what I'm doing wrong

oh as for an answer, thats odd that it wont let you record....have your tried loading the akai OS back in then reloading the jj os?

have you assigned the program to a sequence? its done on main page in jjos - sorry cant remember akais GUI too well..

perhaps youre loading up the program without the samples?

I'm definitely loading the samples with the program. I even tried loading them into a different Program just to check and still no sound. IDK what the deal is. I'm getting so frustrated I know this machine can do some great things. I'm going to call GC where I got it and see if they can help me out. Thanks again guys.
