problem with mpc and midi

Midi is data not audio, u can't hear it.
If you've been into it this long you should have known that.

Please come correct with your question and you most likely won't get clowned.

Me, I wouldn't brag on who I am, who I know and what I'm doing if I don't know how to work my gear
that's not a wise move ya know.

MPC is your master sequencer? Your recording midi on MPC? Computer audio will not be recorded on MPC
only MIDI through the midi cable.

Your explanation is confusing.

no man i kno what midi is ive been working with it for years . i see how u guys do it. with a mixer but i dnt have one i have it connected to the audio input from my mbox. so when i trigger the sounds i can only hear it when im in the record mode. which means i cant really record the midi because when i i go to my main screen i cant hear the sound no more. this is where the mixer comes to play i guess.

yo thanx alot nym that was exactly what i was talking bout. now i can hear the inputs when im in the main screen.i thougt my mpc was acting up cuz sometimes it will work n then it wouldnt but i guys i would turn it on by mistake. sorry to the other guys for the misinterpretation.
