free skin [if you're in the UK]

the skin looks nice... i don't like the styleflip ones since they don't cover the area around the flashcard drive... and mpcstuff doesn't have any designs i care for... i'm looking forward to seeing more pics of the ones you're making...

just thought Id share this is one I tried with some expensive chrome vinyl - but it was a bit too bling for me.

Yeh, names in the hat draw would be the way to go - you can throw mine in there too ( I am in South London btw )

also, is the red around your mpc screen part of the skin as well or did you paint that?

and you're right... the chrome is too much... i have a lamp right over my desk that would BLIND ME if i had that skin...

crossings - these are adhesive, Ive already put on and taken off 5 or so when trying to get measurements right with no problems.

I think if you left it on for a long time it would go like old sellotape, which is a pain, but quite easy to clean off.

As long as you dont use some super cleaner that dissolves the original screen print - unless you want a semi-smeared front panel. might look quite trippy...

The skin is in 5 parts; main plate, front plate, screen surround, and two slider recesses.

Its possible to stretch the skin with a hot air gun, but it can be tricky to get right, so Im still undecided there.

If you look at the pic, you can see the blue peeking out around the sliders. It doesnt look bad, but it is the only part Im not completely happy with so far.

so yeah... still not completely sure and would appreciate opinions on that.
