I bought the wrong RAM didnt I? It ended up being double the size I needed to fit in the MPC. Too long.

I got the PNY in the RED package...this one http://www.compusa.com/products/product ... pfp=BROWSE

I need to green package right? It would help alot if PNY put the amount of PINs on the package

basically you need to take off the main back plate to install it....just pop it into slot as per picture...a bit tricky if you only unscrew the memory expanison slot

I just saw this post for memory and just went to curcuit city and they gave me the Centon desktop pc 133 256mb instead of the centon laptop pc 133 256mb. Does anybody know if this will be a problem becauase once i open this i cant return it. Is it the same between laptop and desktop?

The ram should look like this (bottom of page):

I would return the ram and buy it from a store with a better return policy. Even if you do buy the correct type of ram, it may not work with the MPC. For example, the 256MB stick from my old iBook did not work, but the 256MB stick (different brand) from my friend's iBook did work. You wouldn't want to end up with an expensive bookmark.
