Yeah...I think the track counts too low for the 606.
I will go ahead and state that I haven't been much of a fan of the whole "groove" product line from roland, mainly due to the emphasis they put on effects and marketing. To quote their own advert from a few years back "Now you can sound just like a pro"
I have always felt that the R&D dollars could have been put towards the more subtle "ease of use" features
(like timing shift .ahem cough..its my own fault for not checking before I brought my 1k home..but I miss it)
I would suggest that you really spend some demo-time on the 606 before you get one. I watched the presentation at the last NAMM show, its pretty flashy but seemed to lack some shiyat.
