They are really different, I could never say one was purely better.
Just look at how different it is to play a melody on a keyboard or drum pad, compared to clicking on a grid with a mouse. Its a totally different head space, guaranteed you'll get different type of results.

Imagine when the mc tries to name check you , the dj, and its one thing 'on the wheels of steel' , or even 'on the mpc' (that's what i get).. but come on, 'on the mouse??' 'on the fruity'? lmao.
I guess that will change in the future once we get better designed music pc's, with drum controller etc-- like, if they made a laptop with a tiny screen, tuff small case, and drum pads instead of a keyboard.. could be best of both worlds. (yeah i know 'but that's an mpc', well the point is you could run different software.)
Like you could try a muse receptor together with a trigger finger or something.
But wow I'm just rambling now.
