It's Numark and they don't give a damn about Akai. Forget about a new OS.

Numark doesn't own AKAI, they are both owned by a different company. And if the rumors about the MPC 500 are true, then we will get our OS upgrade. The MPC 2000xl is discontinued and the MPC 2000xl MCD will also be discontinued as soon as they are sold out of stock. The NAMM show started today so we'll find out if this is true or not very soon.

No need to be negative about it guys.

i still think we will see something, might not be for the 1k but its gonna be big. you know what the say, "save the best for last" right.

i went here: http://www.nammsummersession.com/showdirectory/

typed in akai, and sure enough they're holdin down booth#1217

i don't see why they would do that if they didn't have anything new. and sonic state has slowly been adding videos so far this morning.

peace

Thanks Pad. I was just beginning to wonder if they were there at all. Mostly guitars this far. And a gimmicky iPod-mixer from Numark.
