lol

ok lets calm down...dont make sense adding more grief to the issue...
DJAwethentic, the way you explain the problem does not help us assertain fully your issue. there may i suggest recording the problem you and upload it so we can hear whats going on...

however if its what I think it is...since you sampling alot of vocal stuff , I assume your arranging and entire song on ya mpc....it might be where u are placing the vocals on the track (step edit) just a hunch but i dont have much to go on with what u have said..

to me it sounds like things clashing (or lazy programming :-p), examine your step edit closely.

www.rpi.edu/~favalm

The sample (song.wav) is a little over 8 bars, about 19 seconds, and the beat is at 101.5 bpm. If you listen to the mp3, under the exported sequences folder, at about 18-19 seconds in, when its going from bar 8 into 9, it sounds exactly how I want it to sound - the end of the sample plays a little over the beggining of bar 9 when the sample is starting up again. If you wait another 8 bars when it is going from 16 to 17, the sample ends before 17 even starts (~37 seconds). Then when the sample starts again at around 38 seconds in, it only plays for 2 seconds and just stops at 40.

On the link, the mp3 is up there, and then the samples, program and sequence is saved up there as well. On my mpc I had effects on 1 and 2, a reverb and chorus respectively. In case someone took the extra time to load up those files and see if it plays like that on your mpc as well...?

I'm sorry if I flipped out on people, it is just really aggrevating having this happen and not knowing what is going on, and I know what you mean how your help to me is limited since I'm not actually there with y'all and my mpc in hand. I hope this explanation and having the mp3 is more helpful in you guys helping me... :?:

Again, any help would be dope. Thanks.

Also, since the beat is not really done yet, if people have any input or feedback about the beat what to add, or what to take out, if anything, after someone figures this crappy problem out, that would be cool too...

ok let's see

i used to run into problems with my samples cutting each other off alllll the time. then i did the stereo trick i told you about and it stopped being a problem.

here's something, though - is your 8 second sample all one file? you should zone it. cut it up into a whole program so you don't just have one file playing the whole thing, you have a series.

how long have you had your mpc? this is not a problem which lasts forever. the more you know about it the quicker it goes away. it's funny - it really seems like a bug or something, but i assure you it's not a problem with the mpc. it's a problem with the user, as it was with me, and as it will be with new mpc1000 producers in the future.

try zoning up your long sample. it's a longshot, but i have a feeling you might uncover your programming errors when you chop it up.

Is there an easy way to zone the sample on my MPC or should I be cutting up the sample on my computer and then reloading the pieces back onto my mpc? That's what I'm trying to do now, but trying to cut them at the right spot to keep them in line with the beat and stuff is kind of a pain...

Like I want it cut at the exact start time of bar 3, 5, and 7, ya know?

use extract on the mpc

or pull it up in recycle, hit view grid and then slice at grid

or pull it up in acid, adjust the tempo to match your sample, duplicate track 8 times and then zone that way.

all legitimate techniques

just try to turn off the mute groups, you must have putted two different types of sound on the the same mutegroup, maybe a background effect or something simply turn off the mute group on the sample who gets cancelled while playbacking..it does´nt look like you really have beeen reading the manual..
