you guys have answered my question i was wrong by confusing time-stretch with pitch shift. in sparq video about pitch shifting "now all you slow people stay with me" notice how he had to go through the sample edit window, if i am not correct that is the same thing as when you hit 16 levels and tune a sound there by mapping it out through out the 16 pads, but for some strange reason i loose the original flavor of the sound at the lower pitch, but i notice in sparq video the loop that he was changing the pitch of kept its flavor at the higher and lower pitch, now i wonder if sparq will get the same result if he was to take the loop in the 16 levels field and tune it through out the 16 pads- thats what i meant and i apologize for the confusion. and to you cats calling me a new i have been browsing this forum from the release of the original 2000. and as far as equipment goes i go as far as dj samplers, sp. 12 turbo, boss dr5, yamaha rx-15, just to name a few, when your folks were getting their food stamp money together getting ready to have your as i was programing beats. also manually mapping out one sound 1. takes time 2. takes up valuable programing space.
P.S you guys sweating version two need to look at the roland phantom x, it does all the things the mpc 2500 does and beyond- i just pick up mines and boy its a monster. manually mapping out one sound 1. takes time 2. takes up valuable programing space, i love the blue box.
by the way why was your mammy doing in the park the other day trying to do a back flip knowing dam well that she does' nt. have any arms. peace...
