MPC1000 hookup to Reasons, volume problems...

simple...

1.mpc main outs to soundcard's inputs.
2.run reason through soundcard, set to ASIO driver (if available)
3.keep the midi synced from the mpc outs to the computer/soundcard's midi input and set everything in reason according to sparq's video.

I keep trying this, but I can't hear my mpc1000 through my soundcard. I've got an audiophile USB from M-audio. I have the main outs from the mpc connected to the inputs on the soundcard. And a midi cable from the mp's midi out to soundcards midi-in. I've setup everything according to sparq's vid. I can only hear my Reason sounds though.
Anything I can do?

I think you could turn on both the analog and digital outputs of the Audiophile 2496 on the audio page in Reason preferences. Then you could connect the spdif output of the Audiophile 2496 to the spdif input of the MPC1000.

Select “Monitor Mixer” under “H/W out 1/2" on the Patch bay/Router page of the M-Audio Delta Control Panel. Then adjust the volume of the “H/W in 1/2” on the Monitor Mixer page.

I've watched the video and have read this thread all day and still can get this sound module set-up to work! I think my main issue is rooted in the fact that I have to switch between Waveout 1/2 for sound from Reason and S/PDIF in to hear sounds from the MPC....

Components:
AP2496
E-MU X-board midi controller

Connections:
AP2496 selected as ASIO as sound card driver in Audio preferences
Midi OUT A from MPC1K to Midi IN on sound card
Digital out and in from MPC1K to RCA in and out on sound card
Delta AP MIDI selected on Bus A within Reason as external control
Delta AP MIDI selected as port for MIDI clock sync

I've been reading the manual and this thread and cannot get it together, please help.

Well, what you need to do is mix to sounds from different sources together. I would suggest............................................














A mixer.

I have an MPC1000, Reason, and an Audiophile 2496 connected together and working without an external mixer.

On the “Patchbay / Router” page of the “Maudio Delta Control Panel” select “Monitor Mixer” for both “H/W Out 1/2” and “H/W Out S/PDIF”.

On the “Hardware Settings” page select “S/PDIF In” in the “Master Clock” box and select “44,100” in the “S/PDIF Sample Rate” box.

Go to the “Monitor Mixer” page and play something on the MPC. You should see input bars light up on either “H/W In S/PDIF” or “H/W in 1/2". If you don’t make sure none of the solos or mutes are selected and double check your connections. If they do light up all you have to do is connect the output of the sound card to your monitors.
