What would you pay for an MPC 1000-BK?

true, nobody wants to drop another $1000 for something they already have (minus the most important feature... OS 2, which will be free). If money grew on trees, I'm sure it would be a different story. But anyway, if I had $1000 specifically saved up for more gear, I'd buy another synth or drum machine to compliment my existing setup.

Really?? There is news of the black housing kit being released before anyone know when the MPC 1000-BK will be released..outside of Japan?

just got an email back from musician's friend. they said they can special order the 1000 bk now, but that takes 6-8 weeks.

Considering that all Akai's shipments from Japan arrive by boat since it's cheaper, 6-8 weeks is the average time frame.

good question. that all depends what comes with the kit. does it come with all the knobs buttons, sliders and everything that makes it completely identical?

btw.. if it is the whole kit and caboodle (knobs, buttons, sliders, side panels & memory card face), i'd say a fair price would be equivalent to what vst charges for the MPC4000 Blue Top Panel (which uses more metal than just the 1k top panel)... under $100.

The MPC 1000-BK a special order that takes 4-8 weeks??

You can get it via Japan Direct (using Pay Pal if you like) in 1-2 weeks. There are MPC 2500 users in the forum that got their units from Japan Direct (the ones that hated on the self-proclaimed MPC hustla).

I'm a little slow today...

So the MPC 1k BLK is already out on the market with the new OS?

I got my 2.0 from destruction...well priced i might say.

as far as the mpc blk you guys shouldnt worry about it because their is going to be alot of bitchin and whining "when is the black kit comming out" and its going to become another salem witchcraft trial all over again..
