problem with playing chopped samples

It could also just be you've reached the polyphony limit, which would also be easier to do if you're setting the release high (longer samples continue to eat up voices longer) If you mute other tracks the voices you're experiencing "dropout" on should play correctly if this is the case. Try that and see if they play correctly.

Do a search on polyphony and see if that helps.

That's what I think it is(release to high),because of the drop off from what he describes. I'm all most certain that , that is what it is. He's setting the release way to high.for instants, he records it ok the first with the release to high,it still sounds ok,but he does it again in overdub and it sounds nasty,like there's not enough polynotes to play. again hopefully I can get this tutorial up ,on different ways to set a sample to play,loop,etc. I just want to make it real easy and simple. Me and PAD have been debating on the differents techniques in timestretching (in a good way) .blaze let us know if that's the problem.
