you can get it from akai or VST but it's not going to be $40. and it's not yet available.

i bought my mpc1000 wit upgraded ram just as they ame out for ib elieve $800?! so yes $1100 is overpriced!!

VST is going to sell it for $72 and i think plus shipping. they will have it at the end of this month.

akai will have it about a week sooner. vst is waiting to receive it from akai. akai will have it for roughly the same price, if not, maybe a couple of dollars more.
