How Quickly Untill Pads Break

I also got it not too long after it came out, and I've had no problems with it...NONE. All these posts you see about this and that going bad, I've yet to have any of those problems.

hey thanks for everyones input. Basically i heard that the mpc 1000 was made cheaper than most other akai's - hence the reason they were able to sell it cheaper which explains the reason lots of people were having problems. at my local shop the guy was checking and about 1/3 of the people who returned within a year with the 1000 had pad problems.

just the pads, nothing else really. you'll hear about buttons and data wheels, but those problems happen no more really than in other models.

the pad problem is sh!tty, yes., but it's sooo easy to fix.

the 1000 pad comp is actually made more from computer parts than the other mpcs - and that whole invidual soldering thing is a b!tch too but eh what are you gonna do, the portability makes it worth any issues to me...

dope stuff can be made w/out good pads...
