sometimes i get so involved in creating music, that i dont have time for the business side of things. So for now, im taking a break from creating so i can focus on keeping things moving. Gotta keep shows booked, gotta finish organizing Hoodstock. I also have to put out these mixtapes, so watch out for those when they drop!

A beat dont have to be 8 bars to me..It can be 2 bars and i can change it up and make it 8 or 16 even by changin the drum pattern or playing the loop or sample different.
But a beat is just a basic layout or skeleton of the way your drums, samples, extra sample snippets are going to be played. etc.

right now i just moved so i'm looking for a new job
but here's how it usually works - the more i have other things to do like a job, the more i work on my mpc. all day at work i'm sweating, lifting shit, dealing with assholes and i'm just like damn i wish i was at my mpc...
then i get home, get on it and don't leave for hours.
when i don't have any other work to do (school, job, etc) i spend LESS time on it because i have less pressure. it's alway there, so i'm less apt to sit down and stay there for extended periods of time.
my best music comes when i'm at school and i got mad homework to do...i end up doing music instead.
hopefully i'll get work in the next couple days, either at goodwill (where i cut off part of my finger last year, if you recall) or at guitar center so i can buy mad cables and get a discount.

If you want i have the Guitar center certification tests you have to take i can send them to you i was A certified when i left ( just means more money ) The only downfall i had when i worked at gc was i spent almost as much as i made on gear. Cables are Apple ( macs , ipods and shit ) products are the only 2 things that you cannot get discounts on at gc. ( well you can get the hosa cables cheap but i dont think thats what you want. ) Also after you become atleast C level certified you get free software from the software providers so you know there products. I got about 5000 - 7000 worth of free software while i worked there. Plus we got all the free magizines we wanted.
