resampling

When i make beat witgh this setup i have...the fantom is SLAVE-MIDI and my MPC is the master.In my MPC i set the MIDI to 1A, and it is how i am able to record my fantom sounds.However,when i save everything with my mpc,it doesnt keep the same sounds i used from the fantom...it just keeps the MIDI of the keys i pressed on the fantom.

Yes the Fantom has a sequencer but ive made the Fantom the Master,recorded a loop on it, and then tryed to resample/sample or whatever, and it didnt work.

I have one patch cord going from my mixer to my LEFT RECORD IN of my MPC.I can hear the fantom sounds but i cant hear the MPC's metronome and SAMPLING didnt work again...

How did you have the inputs of the MPC configured when you were sampling into it? Make sure it's sampling the Left input. Also, how do you have the record level set? You might need to boost that.

You won't necessarily hear the MPC's metronome when you're sampling.

Also, did you confirm yet that the cable coming out of the mixer has the fantom signal on it? If I were you, I'd simplify a little right now, and just hook the fantom out directly to the MPC. Once you've got that working, then it's time to build a more complex system with the mixer.

the patch cord was running from my Fantom L/MONO OUTPUT to my mixer LINE in 2.
My Mpc's patch cord was running from MPC LEFT STEREO OUT to my mixer LINE IN 1.

I tried rearranging the cords,having my Fantoms Patch Cord L/MONO OUTPUT run directly to my MPC RECORD IN LEFT,and i couldnt hear a thing.

Just some questions to see if it jogs any ideas ...

When did you try to listen? In record mode on the MPC? Did you have the correct input selected? What were the volume settings of the fantom and the MPC's record level?
